DIY / How-to GAC wall charger install

Just had my GAC supplied wall charger installed. I have altered the internal dip switches per a discussion on the FB forum to disable the swipe card, pic attached.
My sparky installed a Shelly switch in series with a regular breaker and rcd.
This allows me to plug in and switch the breaker on regardless of the current power tariff, then the Shelly switches on & off when my 9c elevtricity is available.
BTW it seems to deliver a consistent 60KM range per hour regardless of the state of charge.

My charger keeps tripping the main switch. Two Sparkys have tried to install it, and they both get the same fault. Can I swap it out for one that works?
